Civil and industrial construction facilities are subject to the same requirements: economic profitability, aesthetic quality, safety and functional viability. However, the design of public buildings and industrial facilities have some differences.
The design of a modern enterprise should solve additional problems, ensuring optimal organization of technological processes, comfort of working environment, economical construction, cleanliness of air basin and nature protection. In addition, it is necessary to resolve the issues of transport services, the correct location of the enterprise in the existing development and the formation of the factory territory. A list of works for the expansion, renovation or refurbishment of existing buildings is provided for the construction of an existing enterprise. Therefore, the features of the design of industrial buildings make higher demands on the design organization.
The design of residential or social housing projects must take into account the various links with the external environment, and the floor, planning and spatial structure is calculated on the basis of the tasks assigned by the customer.
In addition, the project may address issues such as the availability of local labour and the need for skilled personnel, the need for temporary buildings, facilities and communications, use of land adjacent to construction.
In the case of limited construction, hazardous areas are identified and objects are entered if there is a need for demolition of existing buildings, provision is to be made for the construction of protective shields or shelters.
The project should also include a list of measures to ensure not only the safety of the builders but also normal working conditions on the construction site.
This is not the whole list of design features - they are adjusted to each specific situation.
